Day 1: Saigon arrival (D)
Arrival Tan Son Nhat Airport, welcomes by our guides with signboard and transfers to hotel, check in, relax. Over night in Sai Gon.
Day 2: Sai Gon – Cu Chi (B,L,)
After breakfast, we venture beyond the city limits to the former Viet Cong stronghold at Cu Chi, where we explore this remarkable tunnel network. Return to Saigon at noon. In the afternoon, we pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy before we visit the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Sai Gon Post Office. Over night hotel in HCM city.
Day 3: Sai Gon – Vung Tau battle field (B,L)
After breakfast, we escort you to Vung Tau by road (around 100km distance, 2 and a half hours’ drive). We will visit Long Tan Cross, Horse Shoe and Long Phuoc Tunnels en route. Arrive at your resort in Vung Tau and stay overnight. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant which we carefully choose from many.
Day 4: Vung Tau – Sai Gon (B,L)
After breakfast we will visit Ba Ria Orphanage and enjoy some free time on the beach. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Ho Chi Minh and visit Nui Dat (SAS Hill) en route. We drive back to your hotel in Sai Gon.
Day 5: Saigon – Danang – Hoian (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel, Transfer to airport for flight to Da Nang. On arrival you are greeted and driven to Hoian, which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures. Stop over at The Cham museum. Once arrival to Hoian ancient town, check in hotel then start our waking tour for sightseeing this ASIA’ major port in the 17century, including the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tamky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda, the vibrant market. Passing many low tiled houses scattered along the small streets and assembly halls which reflect the town"s multi-cultural past. The town is also famous for it"s shops in particular it"s large number of tailors. If you wanted, you could have a whole new wardrobe made for you here! Overnight at hotel in Hoian.
Day 6: Hoian – Mylai – Hoian (B, L)
Today we will have a full-day of visiting to former Chu lai base or Cam doi base in Quang Ngai province. Next to visit the MYLAI where was happened the massacre of civilians on March 16th 1968. End of this day returning back hoi an. Overnight in Hoi an
Day 7: Hoian – Hue (B, L)
We embark on northernbound journey to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. The scenic route passes through Da Nang as we are climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds and dropping down to the picturesque fishing villages of Lang Co. Afternoon we visit the Citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple city, the Emperor"s private residence. Both were almost totally destroyed during the Tet offensive of 1968. We visit vibrant Dong Ba riverside market. Overnight at hotel in Hue.
Day 8: Hue – Aluoi - Hue (B, L)
This morning we start our guided tour and driving for the township Aluoi. Exactly to go to A Shau valley on the Laos border south of Aluoi. In May 1969 around 700lives were lost in 9days on the slopes of Apia hill (70 American and about 633 NVA troops died)-better known to cinema audiences as HAMBURGER HILL. Next will be visited Hong BAC tunnels and the village of Ta Oil people in A Shau before returning back to Hue for one more night.
Day 9: Hue – Saigon (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel. We embark on a boat for cruise upstream on the Perfume River which also gives us a taste of the scenic countryside as well as an enjoyable visit to The beautiful pagoda of Thien Mu. One of the most poignant displays here is a car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight to protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its treatment of Buddhists. Disembark the board for a visit the elaborate mausoleum of former emperor Tu Duc, Emperor Khai Dinh. Lunch at local restaurant. Transfer to Phu Bai airport for flight back Saigon. Pick up at Tan Son Nhat airport to hotel, transfer to city center, check in, relax.
Day 10: Saigon Departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel, free time until transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Say goodbye Vietnam.
