Day 01: Hanoi Arrival
Welcome to Vietnam? In Hanoi, after immigration and customs formalities, you’ll be met by your personal Guide and driver, then transfer into the city. After lunch at a local restaurant, your guide will take you on a tour of the city’s Old Quarter aboard bicycle rickshaws called cyclos (1hrs). You will be pedaled amongst the quaint French buildings along shoe Street, Silk Street and Banner Street (to name just a few)
Day 02: Hanoi City Tour (B)
After breakfast, depart for a full day tour of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (if open) and simple stilted house, the Confucian Temple of Literature, site of the first university in Vietnam, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Quan Thanh Temple and lovely Tran Quoc Pagoda. In the afternoon, you will visit the Ethnology museum and ending at historic Hoan Kiem Lake, the social center of Hanoi. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a Water Puppet Show.
Day 03: Hanoi-Van Phuc village-Thay & Tay Phuong Pagodas-Luong Son (B,D)
Morning pick up at hotel and depart for Ha Tay Province. Stop on the way for a look at some typical countryside villages of northern Vietnam. Pay a visit to Tay Phuong Pagoda. Continue to visit Thay Pagoda and Van Phuc village, Van Phuc is famous for its Silk which is sold throughout Viet Nam and increasingly to overseas markets. Spend one or two hours wandering about the village watching professionals and shopping. After lunch, continue to proceed La Ferme du Col Vert, arrive and Check-In to hotel. Afternoon, you will enjoy walking through the villages where you will contact and talk with Vietnamese farmers or relax in the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside. Diner and Overnight at La Ferme du Col Vert.
Day 04: Luong Son-Son La (B)
This day, you will continue by road No.6 (Route colonial No.6) to Son La where there are many White Thai live. Stop route for visiting the village of Muong & of Black Thai and for seeing the daily life of the minority people of this area. After a good lunch at Moc Chau, continue to Son La. Arrive and drop off at hotel.
Day 05: Son La-Dien Bien Phu (B)
After breakfast, you will visit Son La museum and prison, visit Thuan Chau market. Then continue by Road No.6 to Dien Bien Phu via Pha Din Pass, a famous Indochina War Site. You will travel along one of the most beautiful roads in Vietnam via many villages of Black Thai, H’mong... Arrive Dien Bien Phu and Check-In to hotel. Afternoon, you will visit Dien Bien Phu valley including Dien Bien Museum, the Hills of Eliane 1 & of Dominique, Dien Bien airport and the bunker of General De Castre. Return to hotel for relaxing late afternoon.
Day 06: Dien Bien Phu-Tam Duong (B)
Drive to Lai Chau in the morning along the Black River, you will pass through many villages of Blue H’mong, Flowers H’mong, Dao... then proceed to Phong Tho through absolutely spectacular scenery. Arrive Tam Duong and Check-In to hotel.
Day 07: Tam Duong-Sapa (B)
This morning, visit Tam Duong market where you will meet many different ethnic minorities such as Black H’mong, Red Dao, Day... Then road to the old French hill station of Sapa. Visit the Heaven Gate and Silver Waterfall. Arrive Sapa and the rest of day is free for relaxing or exploring the town of Sapa.
Day 08: Sapa Visit (B)
Today, you will hike down into the verdant Sapa valley to visit the ethnic villages of Black H’mongs (the Lao Chai village), of Zays (the Ta Van village). Afternoon, you will visit to the friendly village of Ta Phin (the Red Dao) and Ham Rong mountain.
Day 09: Sapa-Hanoi (B)
Transfer in the morning to Coc Ly market (Open every Tuesday morning) or Can Cau market (Open every Saturday morning) or Bac Ha market (Open every Sunday morning) by car, arriving in time to enjoy the very colorful H’mong market in Northern Vietnam. This weekly outdoor gathering isn’t just a chance to buy and sell goods; it’s also the social highlight of the week for ethnic groups from all over the area. After the market, drive back to Hanoi via Yen Bai province where many H’mong & Tay living. Arrive Hanoi late afternoon and drop off at hotel.
Day 10: Hanoi-Ha Long (B,L,D)
This day, you’ll be driven about 3hrs to famous and magnificent Ha Long Bay for a 2 days/1night. You will board on a charming Junk for a 2 days/1night cruise. Here you’ll board a charming Junk where you’ll have lunch as you set sail for Titop Island. Spend the afternoon sailing through the 3,000 limestone pinnacles piercing the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Ha Long Bay is one of Vietnam’s most incredible natural wonders and was proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You’ll anchor at Titop this evening before an on-deck candlelight dinner featuring gourmet cuisine.
Note: The cabins on board are simple, comfortable, clean, air-conditioned, and outfitted with their own and hot shower. This is a join-in cruise.
Day 11: Ha Long-Hanoi (B,L)
You will begin this morning with a sunrise breakfast before your exploration of Luon Cave (Tunnel cave) by sampan. Then continue to visit another part of Bay (Bai Tu Long Bay). Lunch on board. You will disembark the Junk and return to Hanoi via Dong Trieu ceramic village, Dong Trieu is famous for its ceramic pottery which is sold throughout Viet Nam and increasingly to overseas markets. Arrive Hanoi and drop off at hotel, the rest of day is free for exploring or for shopping in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
Day 12: Hanoi – Luang Prabang (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to Hanoi airport for your international flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival at the airport, you are met and transferred to the hotel. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After a short rest, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai; we then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore Street Night Market, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 13: Luang Prabang - Pakou Caves - Baan Xang Hai ( B/L)
After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the distillation of local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek, well known for its hand made of Jute Sar paper. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 14: Luang Prabang - Kuangsi Waterfalls (B/L)
This morning you may want to wake up early and participate in the daily early morning ritual of saffron-clad monks with their black Alms-giving bowls being given offerings from the local people, including the ubiquitous sticky rice. Breakfast, you will visit the morning Phosi Market where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit the Ban Ouay, Hmong Hill tribe, Ban Ou, Lowland Lao and Ban Thapene of Khmu village. Continue driving to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can splash around in the pools or walk along the forest paths, return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Phanom, a well known weaving village, return to the city by late evening for observing the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 15: Luang Prabang - Xieng Khuoang - Palin of Jars (Overland) ( B/L)
Breakfast, we visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign, and the Central Market are not to be missed. After visiting these sights. Today, we are driving 306KM overland on up Hill Mountain with splendid natural scenery to Xiengkhouang, where was devastated by American bombing between 1964 and 1973. Upon arrival, we transfer out to visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are littered all over the plateau. If time permits, we are seeing the old capital of Muang Khoun [if time permits] and the nearby villages, home to the Hmong hill tribe people. They have an interesting local culture and a colorful history. Overnight in Phonsavanh.
Day 16: Xiengkhuoang - Pakse - Donkhone (Flight + Overland) (B/L)
Breakfast, we take an early flight to Pakse. On arrival, we drive on the National Road No. 13th south to Champassak and visit the ruins of Wat Phu, which is well known as the most important Hindu sanctuary of the Khmer Empire between 9th –13th centuries. Here is also a chance to visit some nearby Khmer temples and Buddhist shrines, after a shortstop visit, we continue to Done Khone Island by long tail local boat. Overnight in Don Khone Island.
Day 17: Donkhone - Surrounding (Boat) (B/L)
Early morning breakfast, we explore the local villages of Ban Khone, where the old French colonial buildings and its retrace the old colonial past with seeing the first Lao railway with its locomotive. We continue discover the area of 4000 islands by our leisurely boat to visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls of marking the end of Lao boundary to Cambodia call Liphi waterfall, known as the Samphamith. If we have luck, we may be seen the rare freshwater Irrawaddy Mekong dolphin at Ban Hang Khone. Return to Ban Nakasang and drive to famous waterfalls of Khone Phapeng. The largest waterfall in South East Asia, known as Niagara of the east. Overnight in Don Khone Island.
Day 18: Donkhone - Tadlo – Pakse (B/L)
Upon leaving Done Khone Island, we continue our journey towards Tadlo, through Boloven plateau where famous tea and coffee plantation and other lush vegetation and red surface of basaltic soil are incredible all along the way. En route, there are some opportunities to explore a part of Boloven plateau and visit some hill villages of the Katu, Alak and Nge ethnic minority people, return to Pakse by late evening. Overnight in Pakse.
Day 19: Pakse – Veukham Border-Rattanakiri (B)
Breakfast; there is a free time for your own exploration of Pakse Town before departing to Veunkham border. After immigration through Veunkham border (Laos/Cambodia border), you will be welcome by your guide on the Cambodian side and transferred by private car (about 3 hours) to Banlung, the capital of Rattanakiri province, nicknamed “The Red City” because of the omnipresent laterite.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon, start your visit to discovery of the surrounding waterfalls such as Teuk Cha Ong, the most impressive of them, and then continue to waterfall of Okatchagn. Overnight in Banlung.
Day 20: Rattanakiri Visit (B, L,)
After breakfast, drive to northwest and cross bamboo forest before reaching the village of Voeune Sai located on the left bank of the Se San River. The view on the Chinese village on the other side of the river is quite pretty. Actually, this place is almost a Chinese enclave in Cambodian territory, most villagers don’t even speak Khmer. Upstream of the Se San are a certain number of Tampoun villages that practice funeral statuary and continue to the village of Ka Chaoan with its superb totems.
Lunch box at the site. Late afternoon, return back to Banlung overnight in Banlung.
Day 21: Rattanakiri Visit – Kratie (B, L,)
Early shopping in the Banlung morning market, then continue to visit the volcanic lake of giant Loam, superb place surrounded by pristine rainforest. If you prefer, you could enjoy swimming or take a walk around the lake till lunch time.
Lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, leaving for Kraite province, a small colonial-style town.
Enjoy boat trip to view the rare freshwater Irrawady River Dolphins which can be best seen late afternoon.
Day 22: Kratie – Kampong Cham–Kampong Thom (B, L,)
Breakfast at hotel.
Depart by private car to Kampong Cham province, driving through Cambodia country side. On arrival in Kampong Cham, we will pass along many rubber plantations and stop at the biggest one of the country at Chhup.
Lunch at local restaurant
Afternoon, continue to Kampong Thom province. En route, visit Wat Nokor Kuhear. This temple was built in the 13th century with stones out of sand and still remains in a good condition.
Upon arrival Kampong Thom, transfer to hotel for check-in. Overnight in Kampong Thom.
Day 23: Kampong Thom– Siem Reap (B, L,)
After breakfast, we visit to Sambor Prei Kuk located 30 Km from Kampong Thom town, a pre Angkorian site dating from the 7th century which presents among the most ancient surviving examples of Khmer architecture.
Lunch at local restaurant
Afternoon, we will depart to Siem Reap. En route, with a short stop at Stoung to visit some colonial houses and Khmer houses and Kampong Khdey Bridge know as Spean Prabtus (built during Khmer Empire period).
Upon arrival Siem Reap, transfer to hotel for check-in. Overnight in Siem Reap
Day 24: Angkor Thom – Angkor Wat (B, L,)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning, visit south gate of Angkor Thom with two rows of its huge statues of demons and gods depicting the churning of the ocean of milk arranged on both sides of stone bridge and Bayon temple. Then, visit terrace of elephant, which used to be a base for the king’s grand audience hall; Terrace of Leper king supposed that it was a terrace housed the royal crematory.
Lunch at local restaurant
Afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, the most balanced, the most harmonious, and the most perfect Khmer temple. It shows Khmer art, which reached the height of it glory in the 12th century. The temple was built by king Suryavrman II and dedicated to god Vishnu. Climb Bakheng hill to have bird’s-eye view of sunset, Angkor Wat and western Baray. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 25: Banteay srei – Grand circuit (B, L, )
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit Banteay Srei Temple, a tiny temple complex consider by many visitors to be the highest achievement in art and architecture of the Classic Angkor civilization. The glory of Banteay Srei is the beauty of its sculpture and decoration. The pink sandstone used in its buildings makes this temple more beautiful. On the way back to the town you will visit Banteay Samre, Built in 12th in Angkor Wat stile.

Afternoon, visit Preah Khan was also really a kind of university, Neak Pean, a unique ancient hospital built in the reign of king Jayavarman VI (1181-1220) and Preah Khan, a large temple built on the site of battle that ended in Angkor’s downfall at the land of the Cham. Then, visit an amazing Ta Prohm temple which is not restored and left to the elements with giant trees embracing its stone work, giving this temple unique character.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 26: Floating Village – Ha Noi (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, a biggest fresh water lake in south-east Asia. This floating village is definitely an option. Most people (90%) are fishermen living in their wooden houses built on small boats and rafts. The village has everything from floating stores, to a floating gas station and a floating school - including two gymnasiums for kids to play soccer or basketball. And for those who need their little prayer every day, there"s even a floating church.

If time available, visit Angkor silk farm in Puok, 16km from Siem Reap, where you will visit silk process begun on raw silk threads, before transferring to the airport for the flight to Ha Noi. Arrival Ha Noi, drive pick up and transfer to hotel. Check in hotel and overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 27: Ha Noi free: (B)
Today, we have all day free for discover the charming of Ha Noi and shopping around Old Quarter area, new shopping center which display a Ha noi developing.
Over night in hotel Ha Noi.
Day 28: Ha Noi departure: (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to Hanoi airport for your international flight to your next destination.
